Fast Machine released their very first recorded work in 2002 in the form of a 2 song CD Single. It was packaged in a small full color cardboard jacket, which was a popular packaging format at the time for this type of product. The release was intended to be a promotional primer for the upcoming release of their debut full length CD "Learning 2 Fly". The sound was moody rock with a serious pop influence. At the time people likened it to a mix between The Beatles, Oasis and Pink Floyd.
There was never a reprint of this title making them extremely difficult to find now. The band did retain a number of copies for their archive. Currently, the songs are not available for download at the band web site, My Space or Facebook. It is not known if these songs can be found and downloaded from any other internet location. Prior to this time, the band distributed various unprofessionally packaged "snippet" CD samplers.
The boys depicted on the cover inset photo are J.J. Fairbanks and Cole Fairbanks, both of whom are related to Gary. The inset photo is still intended to be used for the cover of the band's debut CD.

Fast Machine released their second recorded work in 2005 in the form of a 2 song CD Single. It was packaged in a small full color cardboard jacket, which was a popular packaging format at the time for this type of product. The release was intended to be a promotional primer for the upcoming release of their debut full length CD "Learning to Fly". The sound was a bit heavier but still moody with the original pop influence. At the time people likened it to a mix between The Beatles, Oasis and Pink Floyd. Following the release of this product the band would begin to play live (see concert history).
Two notable guests appeared on this release, drummer, Ron Wikso (The Storm, Gregg Rolie Band) and lead guitarist, Kurt Griffey (Gregg Rolie Band), but neither appeared live with Fast Machine. There was never a reprint of this title making them extremely difficult to find now. The band did retain a number of copies for their archive. Currently, the songs are not available for download at the band web site, My Space or Facebook. It is not known if these songs can be found and downloaded from any other internet location.
The little boy depicted on the cover (Seth Easter) is not related to anyone in the band. The photo is from the Easter family archive and was used with their permission.

Current Works
On May 26, 2012, the band entered the studio in Toluca Lake, CA to record their first full-length CD. The band lineup has changed and thus the band sound has changed dramatically from the early releases detailed above. Although originally scheduled for release sometime in the fall of 2012, the album was delayed when Gary's mother (age 85) suffered a mild stroke. All production stopped while he attended to her care. The album was about half way completed when this event occurred. Production is scheduled to resume early in 2013. Individual tracks may be released on iTunes (et al), in advance of the full album release, to help expedite dissemination.
